My PH & soil levels showed higher than needed mainly because we’ve received and unusual amount of rain in the past couple of days. I’m just realizing the vegetables I’m planting are acidic, so they don’t need a super moist soil. Just plug it in the soil and you receive the readings in seconds. Just a handful of clicks on the 2 buttons to get all of the info on your soil. You can figure out what adjustments you need to make (whether more or less water or sunlight).

I have really struggled with overwatering my plants, mainly because I just didn¡¯t know how much (or little) water they needed. This soil meter completely removes the guesswork.
The instructions weren¡¯t super helpful, but the meter is actually quite intuitive and user friendly. All I do is press either button to ¡°awaken¡± it and it¡¯s ready to go. If you prefer Fahrenheit to Celsius, press the top right button one to change that. Insert it into the soil about 1/3 – 2/3 of the way and give it a second or two to tell you the temperature and read the moisture. It¡¯s pretty fast.
*FYI: ¡°Nor¡± means Normal. If it reads ¡°Wet,¡± the soil is pretty saturated. I usually give the plant less water than I think it needs, then use the meter to measure after about a minute to prevent overwatering. Oftentimes, it¡¯s enough!
I haven¡¯t used the pH meter much yet, mainly because I don¡¯t know what pH each of my plants prefer, but I do know that a pH of 7 is neutral, above 7 is alkaline, and below 7 is acidic. This meter will be super useful in knowing what the soil needs once I do some research on the subject for my plants. I think my orchid, which hasn¡¯t bloomed again since I got it, will appreciate it.

This is a cool tool for gardeners who want to keep track of their plant¡¯s soil condition, to better take care of their plants. It is simple to use and will keep track of soil PH, moisture temperature, and amount of light it gets. All of these things are crucial to plant health so why wouldn¡¯t you want to know what they are? I try to track when my houseplants need to be watered but I tend to do a weekly watering and clump them all into that schedule because it¡¯s the easiest for me. But not all plants want or need water on a weekly basis. Some will end up
getting root rot from overwatering. So having a tool that can give me this info is as important as making sure my plant has the right light or a pot that fits. This meter turns on with the press of a button, a simple click to advance to the next test etc. You can shut the meter off when done or it will shut off on its own after a few seconds. Note: the meter does not include batteries. Also, I highly recommend that you read the directions before using. There are definite directions that need to be followed or you won¡¯t get results and you will think your product does not work.

I use the groundwater to water my plants and due to the hardness of water it is always very difficult to maintain the PH level of the soil and most often I water my plants either over or under. This soil meter helps me to monitor the soil which leads to healthy plants. I am happy with my purchase and am going to recommend my next door neighbours to maintain their gardens as well. Loving it

Awesome Product! I love mine! One thing that I noticed is that if you are trying to read soil pH below 7, it helps to hit the left button again when it sticks on 7. Also, buy a water pH meter.

I have never checked PH on my soil here in Florida, so I guess I¡¯m not really a true gardener, but I have grown fruit trees in the past that provided years and years of really good fruit. I bought this pH soil tester so that I could test my soil out here in Florida to see why my mango trees that I planted a year ago are not doing anything. When I followed the instruction and used the soil tester it told me that my soil was very alkaline which mango trees do not like. So I quickly added soil amendments to fix the problem. This is an invaluable tool for anyone wanting to grow their own food.
